Sangje (11×17 in.)

$155.00

The Tibetan word “Sangje” (སངས་རྒྱས་, *Sangye* in some transliterations) refers to the Buddha, representing an enlightened being. It is a compound of two elements: “Sang” (སངས་) meaning “purified” or “awakened,” and “Je” (རྒྱས་) meaning “expanded” or “blossomed.” Together, “Sangje” implies someone who has purified their mind of ignorance, delusion, and defilements and has expanded their wisdom and compassion. This state of full awakening and enlightenment signifies a deep realization of the true nature of reality, free from suffering, embodying wisdom, love, and compassion for all beings. Thus, “Sangje” symbolizes ultimate spiritual attainment.
