About the Artist

I really love Tibetan. I first came across this amazing language when I was eighteen and getting started on my journey as a follower of Tibetan Buddhism. I found Tibetan to be visually stunning. My initial desire to learn how to read and write it stemmed simply from my appreciation of its beauty. As my faith in Buddhism deepened and my understanding of the Tibetan language’s transcendent qualities developed, my appreciation for it took on a deeper significance. Tibetan is truly a sacred language and the process of learning it is, to my understanding, a sacred one as well. Â

My joy and enthusiasm for Tibetan far surpass my skill in writing it. I’m beyond pleased to share these works with you. I hope they spark some measure of the appreciation I have come to feel for this amazing language.

You might be wondering about the name of this site. Sambhota refers to Tonmi Sambhota, the person who created the Tibetan written language. Definitely check out the page on Tonmi Sambhota here.
